Nuno Rijo is an Of Counsel at Abreu Advogados, having joined the firm in 2026, working mainly in the areas of Customs Law and International Trade.

His professional practice focuses primarily on the areas of Customs Law and International Trade, with a particular emphasis on matters related to customs regimes, tariff classification, customs value, origin of goods, and customs debt, as well as criminal and administrative proceedings in this field. His practice involves providing legal advice, both in an advisory and litigation capacity, to economic operators involved in the import and export of goods, as well as to direct and indirect customs representatives, regarding their reporting obligations to national and European customs authorities. He also has significant experience in other areas of law with regulatory and sanctioning implications, namely labor law, personal data protection, public procurement, and environmental law, maintaining a cross-cutting and integrated approach to clients’ needs.
